12 weeks training time, minimum twice weekly on average

 

General Requirements
Students should show an upgrade in quality of stance, speed and power. Kata and any techniques demonstrated should be performed without mistakes and must
be delivered with proper timing, continuation and kime (focus of power and energy). Kumite should be accurate in offence and demonstrate effective defence and counter-attack (with Kiai).

 

Kihon (Basics)
1. Gedan Barai (downward block) x 3 stepping forward, Mawatte (turn)

2. Age Uke (rising block) x 3 stepping forward, Mawatte (turn)

3. Soto Uke (outside block) x 3 stepping forward, Mawatte (turn)

4. Oi Zuki (stepping punch) x 3 stepping forward, Mawatte (turn)

5. Gyaku Zuki (reverse punch) x 3 stepping forward, Mawatte (turn)

6. Mae Geri (front kick) x 3 stepping forward, Yame (stop / finish)

7. Yoko Geri Keage (side snap kick) in Kiba Dachi (side stance) x 3, Mawatte (turn) and repeat in opposite direction

8. Yoko Geri Kekomi (side thrust kick) in Kiba Dachi (side stance) x 3, Mawatte (turn) and repeat in opposite direction

 

Kata (Form)
Kihon Kata / Taikyoku Shodan (Basic form)

 

Kumite (Sparring)
Sanbon Kumite (three step sparring)
Jodan (head) and Chudan (stomach) level offence and defence.
